After two mysterious figures come into George’s lunchroom, a young boy embarks on a journey of fear and acceptance to save the life of an old boxer.
Nick rushes into Hirsch’s Rooming House in search of Ole Anderson, a man whose been targeted by two killers. He meets with a beatutiful blonde at the counter who tells him that Ole hasn’t left his room all day. She describes his situation and hopes that he isn’t under the weather. When Nick gets to the lion’s den, Ole’s bedroom, his urgency leaves him as he sees the weak boxer laying on the bed almost motionless. He informs Ole of the hit. Ole already knows that he has a hit put out on him and that he’s been expecting these men all day. Nick dosen’t understand why Ole is just accepting his fate instead of finding a way out. Before anything else, a loud bang is heard from outside the room and Nick goes to investigate. When he reaches the end of the hall, he witnesses the beautiful blonde get blown away by the killers. Nick rushes back and gives Ole one last chance to escape before the men come up the stairs.
